South African Police Service | Northern Cape | NARI

26 Dec 2017, Kakamas: Members of the Community Police Forum in Kakamas have joined hands with police in ensuring that the community is safe during the festive season.

CPF members have been participating in the operations since the starting of the festive season.

Mr Andre Strauss of Kakamas CPF, pointed out that the fight against crime can’t be won by the police alone without community assistance. He indicated that abuse of alcohol and drugs contribute immensely to social crime.

High police visibility through patrols, stop and searches was maintained in Kakamas with zero tolerance on public drinking, drunken driving and riotous behaviour.
